Principal Functions:

1. To admit exporters to the Association from the manufacturers and exporters of readymade garments in Pakistan.
   
2. To advise, protect, safeguard and promote the rights, interests and privileges of its members.
   
3. To remove difficulties and short comings in the ready made garments trade.
   
4. To create sympathy and unity among the manufacturers and exporters of ready made garments.
   
5. To disseminate among its members information on all matters of interest to garments trade and to print all kinds of literature conducive to the objectives of the Association.
   
6. To provide form of contracts and other documents used in garments trades and commerce.
   
7. To encourage and facilitate the settlement of commerce disputes by arbitration of conciliation.
   
8. To consider, initiate and promote improvements in the commercial laws, rules and regulations for representation to the governments.
   
9. To file, prosecute or defend on concur, join or aid in defending actions conducive to the objectives of the Association.
   
10. To enter into any arrangement with the Government conducive to the objectives of the Association.
    
11. To issue certificates in accordance with the requirements of the trade to exercise rights and objectives of the Association.
    
12. To co-operate and work with other recognized associations, chamber of commerce and industries and Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and industry.
    
13. To provide services to all its members regarding textile quota management.
    
14. To organize participation in international and national Trade fairs and exhibitions.
    
15. To organize trade delegations to selected markets abroad.
    
16. To provide service to foreign trade delegations visiting Pakistan.
    
17. To provide advice and guidance to members on trade industry and fiscal aspects of production and exports.
    
18. To advise the Commerce Ministry, Textile Quota Management Directorate and the Export Promotion Bureau of Textile Negotiations with Quota Countries and other related export problems of the members.
    
19. To advise the Finance and Commerce Ministries on Budgetary, Trade and Fiscal Policies.
    
20. To represent the association in various.
    Government and trade bodies. Products/commodities responsible for :
    
    All sorts of woven / readymade garments, made-ups and accessories, and handling of quota of woven and knit categories.
